EMBARK ON A VIRTUAL PILGRIMAGE TO BETHLEHEM

Today in Bethlehem

Put on VR glasses and embark on a pilgrimage following the words of an old Polish carol "Dzisiaj w Betlejem" (Today in Bethlehem). Start from a traditional Polish Christmas Eve dinner and journey all the way to Bethlehem itself. Let the wonder of technology move you to the birthplace of Jesus.

See Bethlehem as if you were there

Drag the photo to look around

Journey to the Holy Land is associated with large costs that not everyone can afford. That's why we decided to shoot 360° photos there, so that everyone, regardless of their limitations, could see the birthplace of Christ. Now that the war in Gaza makes traveling to Israel very dangerous, our film is actually the only chance to see Bethlehem as if you were there.

Walk around the city, visit the Basilica of the Nativity and enter one of the pastoral grottoes in the area - just like the one where Mary and Joseph took refuge two thousand years ago when there was no place for them in the inn.

Pilgrimage virtually through technology

Newest technologies are seldom associated with history, culture and religion. But it is thanks to virtual reality (VR) that we have the chances to turn a place and experience inaccessible to most, into something that can be found at our fingertips. This project is also an opportunity to familiarize oneself with the latest technologies and develop digital skills for people of all ages.

Help in catechesis

“Today in Bethlehem” is a production that is ideal also for younger audiences. The documentary takes the viewer from the familiar images of the birth of Jesus, through the Christmas Eve dinner all the way to the real Bethlehem. It is a unique experience that is the perfect beginning for a catechism lesson and a starting point for further conversation about Nativity.
